Parish Home
From our New
Pastor!
"My dear friends, the faith
community of St. Charles
Borromeo has been anticipating this weekend for a
long, long time. After 18 months of dedicated vision,
planning, and energy, we culminate our Golden
Jubilee Year with a formal dinner, a festive Liturgy
and community-wide parish picnic on Sunday.
...already impressed with the stewardship and
leadership displayed by our former pastor, Fr. Tony
Zimmer and current Pastoral Staff. Couple this with
Gary Kasza, Judy Wolf, Jeff Kleczka, and Renee
Pucel and their respective committee members, they
have painstakingly put together these Jubilee events
with the underlying purpose of reflecting genuine
Christian hospitality - serving others as they need to
be served. This attribute is something our parish
does so well.
...with the biggest tents, the largest crowds, the finest
prepared dishes of barbequed chicken or frosted
glasses of beer and fine wine. It starts with the
guests. Hospitality finds its origin in a Greek word
...word for it in the Old
Testament, it is a deeply rooted
in custom. St Charles continues this custom of
hospitality by receiving the guest - parishioners here
and at large - as the guest wishes to be received.
The work of everyone responsible for Jubilee
planning deserves our appreciation and support. You
wholeheartedly deserve it because they are a
reflection of the Ultimate Guest - Jesus Christ. So
please seek them out and personally thank them for
their sweat (which will probably be dripping a lot this
weekend). Or better yet, they would be very happy if
you would spend a bit of time by stopping by and
enjoying some food, beverage and various
entertainment venues. Believe it or not, it was all
done for YOU, our guest.
Jubilate Deo! May God be praised!

In God's time,
Fr. Carmelo Giuffre
Pastor
