High School Faith Formation

Pre-Confirmation (Grades 9 & 10)

Our High School Youth Ministry offers meaningful opportunities for teens to grow in faith, build community, and serve others with compassion. Each year, students are invited to take part in the National Catholic Youth Conference, a powerful gathering that brings young people together from across the country for prayer, inspiration, and encounter with Christ. “Let no one despise your youth, but set the believers an example in speech and conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.” (1 Timothy 4:12)

We also offer outreach experiences such as “Box City,” an immersion initiative that invites teens to step into a small glimpse of the struggles faced by those experiencing homelessness. Through this experience, participants are encouraged to grow in empathy, deepen their understanding of social justice, and respond with hearts open to serving those in need. “Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.” (Matthew 25:40)

We warmly invite all high school students to take part in these opportunities to grow, serve, and belong.

Grade 11

All high school students in 11th grade, both private and Public school students, join the program as they anticipate Confirmation. The students in the confirmation program will build upon their knowledge of sacraments and the Creed. Focusing on the action of the Holy Spirit, students will be challenged to recognize God’s presence in their lives-especially when it comes to making sound moral decisions and seeking social justice. Our Confirmation retreat provides a sacred space for candidates to reflect, pray, and prepare their hearts to receive the Holy Spirit more fully. These moments of encounter are designed to strengthen their relationship with Christ and their commitment to living out their faith. “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be my witnesses.” (Acts 1:8) All of this culminates in their decision to receive the sacrament of Confirmation-the initiation, or beginning, of adult commitment to continue their faith journey.
