Stewardship

Time, Talent, Prayer, and Treasure

Stewardship is a Gospel call to live our lives with a spirit of gratitude for all God has given us.  Traditionally, the church talks about three aspects of stewardship: time, talent, and treasure.  St. Charles Borromeo adds what we believe to be another important aspect of our call, stewardship of prayer.  All are important to the success of our parish. We at St. Charles Borromeo believe that God becomes known through the interaction of people who care.  Whether responding to the needs of the poor with the St. Vincent de Paul group; helping with the youth mission trip; cleaning the church; assisting at the annual parish picnic or auction; joining a commission; or participating in one of the many other opportunities described in our Parish Handbook – you can help make our world a better place.

Stewardship of Time and Talent

There is room for everybody! Are you looking for a way to give some of your time to help others? Something that lets you know that your life makes a difference? Please consider looking at the many opportunities to invest something of yourself in the ongoing life of St. Charles Borromeo. Join hundreds, from varied age groups, who help make our community so vibrant and spirit-filled. We at St. Charles Borromeo believe that God becomes known through the interaction of people who care. Whether responding to the needs of the poor with the St. Vincent de Paul Group, or joining a faith formation program, we believe that God is present where people work together to make the world a better place.

Stewardship of Prayer

Unlike the public commitments we make regarding stewardship of time, talent, and treasure, one’s commitment to prayer involves your private decision about your prayer life. You will find a variety of options listed below.  These options give ideas about how you and your family can join with our entire parish community in committing to a healthy stewardship of prayer.

• Daily Commitment to Prayer • Celebrate Sunday Mass & Daily Mass • Weekday Rosary & Rosary Services (May & October) • Celebrate Daily Mass • Morning / Evening Prayer • Shared Prayer with Family or Friends • Liturgy of the Hours • Stations of the Cross • Spiritual reading • Meditation • Communal / Individual Reconciliation • Private Novena • Small Faith-Sharing Group • Retreat • Charismatic Prayer Group • First Friday Eucharist • Ministry of Praise

Stewardship of Treasure

We ask members to assess their personal gift of treasure and give back to God a financial commitment to the parish to allow for a fiscally responsible budget. St. Charles Borromeo Parish exists for you and because of you. Thank you for your generosity and support. Thank you for allowing us to remain a vital, growing community. Thank you for being a good steward and believing us when we say St. Charles Borromeo Parish needs you and your stewardship.
